Mike VandeHaar

Mike is a professor of dairy nutrition at Michigan State University where he teaches animal nutrition.  His research involves dairy cattle nutrition and physiology with the intent of improving heifer growth and mammary development, and increasing the efficiency of protein production in the dairy industry. His main research goal is to improve the ability of the dairy industry to feed people in a way that is profitable for farmers, efficient in using resources, healthy for cows, and sustainable for the environment.  I also teach animal nutrition.
